About us

My name is Sophia-Isabell Ulitzka.

Very early on in my life I realized that at some point I wanted to work with animals.

Working with horses has always filled me and gave me a feeling of "home". Now I would like to pass this feeling of "home" on to others, working with horses can be so much more than just riding or going to tournaments. She can become a family that grows every day and with which we can grow beyond ourselves every day.

About us

"Horses are the mirrors of our soul"

This quote is certainly known to many, everyone who works with horses comes across it sooner or later. Be it working with your own horses or from social media. When we work with horses, we quickly understand that our feelings and moods have a significant influence on our companions. So everyone has been stressed or angry to his pony after work and was surprised that it was more tense, restless and more frightened than usual. And here we can already establish a connection to the aura work with the animals. Working and learning with horses is in reality the art of getting to know yourself better, more reflective and more conscious dealing with the things and living beings around us was increasing in order to grow out of oneself together.

Combination riding lessons, aura work & animal healing practice

In our combination lessons I focus on the holistic view of the horse. Every part of our work with the horse and every part of ourselves plays a role in working health-promoting and harmoniously with the horse. Often tension or behavioral patterns of the horses, in extreme cases also called "problem horses", can be traced back to bad experiences, not yet optimal training or even our own fears and worries. In the combination lessons I take a holistic view of the horse / rider team and can deal with body, mind and soul, as Hildegard von Bingen already taught.

What is special about our work?

Do you want to find out what life and a puzzle have in common?

Our life consists of an incredible number of different puzzle pieces filled with experiences, emotions and living beings. My puzzle is motley, there are round corners, jagged and oval pieces, monochrome and printed, and sometimes a piece doesn't seem to fit at all; while some parts arise and change, others disappear and fade.

You are welcome to share one of your puzzle pieces with us, I will then publish it on our homepage. We all live from experience and the passing on of our knowledge. Share a part of yourself with us and help to inspire other people in dealing with horses and to let our side live.

Herbal compress massage

The herbal stamp massage is a traditional massage that has been used for thousands of years and has its origins in Asia. Your horse will be massaged with a cotton sack filled with various herbs, which has been tied and warmed up using a special method. I like to use this form of massage in conjunction with acupressure. It has a health-promoting effect and strengthens the horse's self-healing powers.

Would you like to find out more about traditional horse massage? I am happy to answer your questions in person or by phone.

  • Does the horse have a gallbladder?

Horses do not have a gall bladder; the liver does the bile production.

  • How long do horses sleep on average?

When the horse sleeps, we distinguish between different phases: dozing (stage between waking and sleeping), SWS sleep (horses can sleep in this way while standing, the breathing rate and heartbeat slow down. In this phase the animals can wake up at the slightest noise and see if something has happened), the last phase is REM sleep (the deep sleep phase of the horse. Breathing and circulation are shut down, the horse lies down here).

  • Can the horse see in color?

Horses can see in color, it is assumed that they can best recognize the colors yellow and blue (these are also used in equikinetics). Researchers assume that they can see the color red poorly or not at all.

  • Are horses weight carriers?

It is often assumed that cold-blooded animals or generally large horses can carry more weight. This is a very complex topic; in general terms, no horse is a weight carrier. A well-known rule of thumb for this is that a horse may carry a maximum of 15% of its own body weight without suffering permanent damage.
